Excellent for disaster preparedness kits. We live in earthquake country and the day one waterbed offers an easy to store device for providing 10L of water, way more than other kits, from contaminated or compromised water sources after a pipe break. I keep one in the car and one at home. Much better than the water packets which evaporate over time or containers which take up room in the car and garage.
